Geotechnical

Geotechnical
The study of soil bed structure, recognition of mechanical, dynamical and chemical characteristics of soil and rock types, assessing seismicity of the earth, recognizing available water resources, engineering geology using geotechnical data from surface, sub-surface exploration, various mechanical tests and the chemical of soil and rock are the major branch of geotechnical engineering.
Also, as the most important structural applications of this branch one can refer to the analysis and design of surface foundations (single, strip, wide) and deep foundations (types of piles) of guard structures and methods for soil corrosion under foundation.
